POLITICAL PARTIES ARE RUINING SOCCER GAMES

The African National Congress (ANC) and Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) have taken campaigning to another level by doing it in stadiums, during soccer matches and the like. this has brought the PSL into a frenzy because it is disruptive to the fans and to the matches themselves.

When Mamelodi Sundowns was playing with Orlando Pirates in a match that ended as a draw, the EFF was seen wearing their full regalia at the stadium and this has upset the PSL greatly. "This is something that cannot be allowed on stadiums", said one supporter on twitter.

Mamelodi Sundowns is one the big soweto clubs and it seems the national parties have taken this into big consideration and have invaded their second match with AL Ahly which was a CAF match. The ka bo yellow team won 5- 0 in the quarter final first leg of the championshionship.
although this was not a PSL match thereis great concern of these political parties in the stadium handing out free t-shirts. The fans argue that it is most important that the stadiums do not have political conflict as sports is supposed to be apolotical and therefore do not wish to have stop any political issues where the fans are supposed to feel safe and the only debate they should have is their disagreement on the different soccer teams.

The PSL spokesperson Lux September has thus asked political parties to stop using stadiums as a political platform during matches.
