The Anglican Student Federation(ASF) is a provincial structure for students of the Anglican church. The organisation comprises of the 9 South African provinces including the adjacent countries Lesotho, Swaziland, Mozambique, Namibia and Angola. The Anglican Students have decided to take a stand against Sexual and Gender based violence in the setting of the church and with the evolving times they have decided to make their voices heard. One of the high esteemed Offices include Gender Transformation Officer held by Toby. The African National Congress (ANC) and Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) have taken campaigning to another level by doing it in stadiums, during soccer matches and the like. this has brought the PSL into a frenzy because it is disruptive to the fans and to the matches themselves. The SRC announced at a student leader conference at the beginning of the year that they will be walking to QwaQwa campus  in order to raise money for the students and that there will be another campaign to climb mount kilimanjaro for the same purpose which is to help those who are unable to finish school. They have decided to use the slogan #StudentsMustGraduate. With the new year and all, most of you are concentrated on trying out new things, taking risks and making a difference you can be proud of end of the year however, with these decisions comes great responsibilities. This is not something you take lightly therefore make realistic goals and be open minded to failure along the way and remember failing helps you learn so do not give up when things do not go as smoothly as you would like them to. It is best to make sure that you are able to stand up from the knock out. I have been out of the country a clue of times however this time it was different. I was in Mozambique for the past week and it was a lovely experience, in some instances I am grateful to have been born in South Africa. On the 2nd of July 2017 I took off on a trip to Mozambique. It was the start of the Anglican Students Federation 57th conference. I personally was worried about communication especially when we arrived at the boarder. You see the spoken language is Portuguese and only a few actually know and can speak English.  The other thing was the Angola Region finally joined us and we were excited and they can only communicate in one language which is Portuguese, you were right and that's were trouble started.

We have been waiting for the best superhero movie with a woman touch since we saw batman and then after the decision to give us one we had to wait another two years to see the movie. Wonder woman has always been my favourite female superhero but the announcement to finally put her in a movie was one we have been waiting for. The director really did an amazing job by  the character and the storyline. It has great quality and the stunts are exactly what you would expect from wonder woman. I'm a fan and I love that movie, and hope that there will be a follow up as it deserves one.  It's versatile just like what you expect from a Princess of the Amazons. The cast is amazing and it's not just the movie that is awesome but because it was directed by a woman for women. Rank ❤❤❤❤

The day of Monday the 17th of April started of as peaceful as ever, little did I know what was coming my way. O I decided to go back to Bloemfontein and when I arrived at the taxi stop I met an old friend whom we haven't been talking for a while now. He seemed cold in fact didn't look interested in talking to me so after I chatted him up I stood outside in wait for the the people to come. It also seems that for some one or other reason my mind was preoccupied and even right now I cannot figure out the what it was that was on my mind. When I started writing this I forgot to mention that I have been losing things a lot since 2013 you see this is the beginning of the story which is actually the end.....

It just so happens that my friend and I went to the movies last week . We have been raving about going so we finally went there to watch "Hidden Figures" starring Taraji P. Henson, Janelle Monae and Octavia Spencer. This is a real story about a group of african american women who changed the world of NASA. When I saw the preview, It did not occur to me that this movie was about colonialism and to this degree but I knew it was about empowering women so I needed to watch it no matter what, so my partner in crime was game and we headed to Nu-metro. It is an amazing story which features the struggle women faced in the workplace and how being black, female and educated did not matter at all. I believe it is a week today that the SONA (State of the Nation Address) for those of you who do not know what this is, when the presidency decides to make a mockery of South Africa or rather the parliament. It also seems that they get worse every year and guess what all of us were looking forward to all of that which turned out to be the best movie ever produced here. I am not here to tell you what is wrong nor who is wrong but mainly to give you a voice of what has happened. I have lived in a town called Vryburg in the North West during my high school years. This town is not far from a small town called Taung which is where my sister and a few of their friends annually go spend a weekend. We have heard stories about this town growing up and this was my first time staying a little bit longer. This trip started three years ago and every year since then we have put together our money and resources to make it happen. It is called the Manthe weekend, it is filled with fun, food, traditional partying as well as strengthened friendships and too much offloading. It was my first time this year and I will be letting you in on my experience. We plan for this trip on the last day of the weekend which is on a Sunday. The trip kick starts on a Friday where everyone leaves their respective places to the venue. We are approaching that season where people are able to bear it all out for the world to see and the thirst is on another level. It seems to be a new trend of thighs out, breasts  out, and skin in the open.  On my way from campus yesterday, there was a girl walking in front of me with a short skirt and the boys were staring like a dogs who just seen a piece of bone. Its funny because it wasn't the first time as the other girl on campus was wearing a crop top and the stares that came with the outfit was a little too much. This is just one of those situations where you want to wear anything you want and not be burned for it. I am not what I wear but I want to be able to wear what I want whenever I want and am comfortable in it.

It came to my attention on Thursday that people are quite spiteful and petty, it seems not everyone is as grown as they appear to be when you get to varsity. People are so obsessed with being popular and  that they make friends with the wrong people thinking that these people care about them when they don't. It also seems that people are not really concerned about loyalty anymore but are rather focused on the demeaning of other people regardless of how this will affect them in any way. When we grow up I like to believe that our circumstances make us who we are and because we have grown and understand the world a bit better we also do things better than what we would have in the past so when someone is poking you for a response and they keep doing things to you on purpose you asses the situation and decide whether it is a good decision to say something or not.
